A New Hainanese Chicken Rice @ Section 19 Petaling Jaya

A friend has just started another eatery shop at Section 19 of Petaling Jaya and today (08 12 10) is the first day of the opening. My friend is a Hainanese and is always proud of his root and prowess in his cooking especially Hainanese cuisine.

We were there when most of the food is about to finish but fortunately there were still some for us to savour.

The main dish was of course this poached free range chicken. It was sweet and tender. Too bad the Hainanese rice was all finished not even a single grain left we have to take the normal plain rice.

Braised duck, chicken & pork (kah wan) topped with chopped preserved veggie (chye poh). I like this most.

This is the wok at the severy counter with all the braised meat in it for you to select.

There will be new dishes in the menu soon as it is only the start of a new eating joint and hopefully these dishes will be interesting.

Gasp!
The pork looks good!
But I got to the chicken rice, since you said your friend takes pride in his heritage. I'm sure he intends to do his roots (being a hainanese proud).
So I can be assured tht his chic rice is TRULY hainanese ya?
