KL Car Free Day September 2014

The date was 7th September 2014 another car free day in the city of beautiful Kuala Lumpur, we decided to bring out our flags in conjunction with the celebration of Malaysia Day. Though most the cyclist friends were out of the town on this day for other bicycle adventures we still managed to gather a good number of cyclist friends for this event.
The Power hApPy Riders.
Our meeting point was at Jalan Melaka and a chance to eat for some before we commence our Merdeka parade.
We had a golden opportunity to take pictures with VVIP and they were Denmark Ambassador Mr.Nicolai Ruge, Datuk Bandar, Datuk Ahmad Phesal Talib (KL Mayor) and members of DBKL Cycling Club. Yes, we are please with the enthusiasm shown by the Mayor and we hope his aspiration for the good of cycling in the city is achieved.
After going round the short route we re-grouped in front of the City Council Building at Jalan Raja Laut.
It was a leisure ride very relaxing we were more excited of what we were going to eat for breakfast, we proceeded to Tiong Nam for Fishhead Beehoon and Bak Kut Teh while our Muslim friends went for a mamak connection nearby.
A short ride to National Monument and we suddenly became an attraction to our foreign visitors. Welcome to Malaysia!
After a short stint roaming around the green and shady hills of Kuala Lumpur we ended up at Lake Gardens for a wonderful loitering.
These riders were Ampang bound for home and were on a look out for food again in the vicinity of Kampong Baru.
Nothing like Kak Muna's Bakso at Kampong Baru!
Sir! Gua caya sama lu. Hope to see you again next month.
