Melaka Flavour on the 3rd Day of Hari Raya

Good Morning Malacca and it was the third day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. I enjoyed cruising around Jonker Walk in the early morning when it is quiet with lesser people.
Wow a cycling event going through Jonker Walk and it seemed like it was a charity ride. HapPy Cycling!!!
All set to go for the second day itinerary and started with a ride for breakfast lead by Baki.
Feeling cheerful and also hungry, everyone was anxious to have their breakfast as soon as possible.
Kedai Makanan Miniman Donald & Lily has moved from Jonker Walk area to 16G, Jalan KSB 1, Taman Kota Syah Bandar, Kota Laksamana. They are known for their authentic Nyonya food like Laksa, Mee Siam, Cendol and many more.
Many opted for Nyonya Laksa but some chose Blue rice with chicken rendang.
Traditional Ayam Ponteng - braised chicken with soy sauce, gula melaka (sugar syrup), and stewed with potatoes is one of the hot favourites of Donald & Lily.
After a satisfying meal at Donald & Lily, our guide took us to see Malacca town.
Baki can survive as a local tourist guide, he knows the history of this town and he told us story about this lane known as Java Lane, interesting story indeed...well done Baki!
The weather was hot a place that is cooling would be ideal, so "The Shore" came to our rescue.
Labodega is a good place to lepak, we just parked our iron horses next to it and we were there for a comfortable time.
Cycling along Malacca River was fun, path was good and friendly.
Hi people stop and look here for a shot at Malacca River.
Well done Malacca for maintaining the old heritage facades it is truly amazing and beautiful.
Jalan Tukang Emas is where Cheng Ho Sayang Guest House is located, we were back for a brief rest before our next visit for an Open House.
That's Khairul Anuar and his youngest son, friend of Albert who invited us to his house, thank you Anuar you are such a sport and we love your hospitality and your food was awesome especially the Laksa Assam.
The ride to Anwar's house was interesting with beautiful kampong ambiance and rambutan trees with its fruits waiting for us.
Anuar & Albert who have not seen each other for more than 30 over year since childhood days back in Taiping. We were glad to witness this reunion. Hidup Malaysia!!!
Selamat Hari Raya to Anuar and his family. Thank you once again for your excellent hospitality and all the best to you.
It's back to Malacca town and some of us have to go back home from here while some stayed back for another night.
After a short rest back at Jonker Walk we proceeded to Malacca Straits Mosque for a sunset experience.
The Malacca Straits Mosque (Malay: Masjid Selat Melaka) is a mosque located on the man-made Malacca Island near Malacca. The construction cost of the mosque was about RM10 million.
Beautiful sunset captured with Olympus TG2 and later with a Nyonya dinner at Melaka Raya to end the second day of this Raya adventure.
